September 30th 2011 will go down as a very important day in the war on terror. Anwar al-Awlaki and his convoy was eliminated by two Predator drones armed with Hellfire missiles. And already the ACLU has jumped into the fray saying that was an unlawful order as he (al-Awlaki) was an American citizen. The way I feel about it, Anwar al-Awlaki renounced his country. Joined Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, and became their primary recruiter. He had been described as the "Bin Laden of the internet" as he used the internet as a medium to spew his hatred. At this point he had renounced those protections as he was waging war against this country.
But as the ACLU always does, they will blow this out of proportion to protect this walking scumbag. The fact he "WAS" a citizen is not much of an argument. At the time of his death he was engaged in war against the United States. He had spoken to Nidal Malik Hasan prior to the Ft. Hood attacks. He has also been tied to the Times Square Bomber as well as the Christmas Underwear bomber…and the list goes on and on. The thought that anyone actually believes that this piece of trash deserves any kind of constitutional protection, please take a moment and explain it to me in the comments.
