Limited-edition 30th anniversary models embark on a journey
with a new mechanical model and high annual accuracy Eco-Drive model
The CITIZEN watches, created as part of CITIZEN’s pursuit of the essence of the watch, provide both superior quality and outstanding accuracy. Two new models - a high accuracy model with a Caliber 0200 mechanical movement developed in-house by CITIZEN and a light-powered Eco-Drive*1 Cal. A060 model with high annual accuracy of ± 5 seconds - will be launched to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The CITIZEN.

Two limited-edition models are being released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The CITIZEN with designs conveying the concept of soaring into the future. Both watches offer superior functionality and outstanding finishing with distinctly different movements, dial finishes, cases, and bracelets.
The first model features a Cal. 0200 movement, a mechanical movement developed in-house by CITIZEN that symbolizes the company’s dedication to creating even better watches. The second model is equipped with the high accuracy Cal A060 Eco-Drive movement. The Caliber 0200 movement in the mechanical model combines both aesthetic appeal and an average daily accuracy of -3 to +5 seconds, exceeding the chronometer standard for accuracy. It also has a free-sprung balance wheel to ensure greater accuracy in the long-term. The Cal. A060 movement in the Eco-Drive model offers high annual accuracy of ± 5 seconds as well as a perpetual calendar. Both models feature an eagle mark - the symbol of The CITIZEN - on the dial, bringing to mind the image of an eagle’s wings in motion, soaring to new heights. The ivory coloured dial of the mechanical model features a matte surface that harmonizes with the dynamic pattern on the dial created through electroforming, creating an appealing look. In contrast, the Eco-Drive model features the same ivory colour on the dial with a transparent metallic finish, creating a sense of depth with an attractive sheen.
The lugless stainless steel case of the mechanical model with its bold styling is integrated with the stylish bracelet featuring both brushed and mirror polished surfaces for an eye-catching contrast. The Eco-Drive model is equipped with a high-accuracy Eco-Drive movement offering annual accuracy of ± 5 seconds and the case and bracelet are made of Super Titanium*2, which has properties of being lightweight, scratch-resistant, and gentle on the skin. The compact 38.3 mm case is treated with Duratect Platinum*3 to create a bright, almost translucent, silver colour.
A limited edition number is engraved on the case back of the mechanical model.
The dial and crown feature eagle marks - the symbol of The CITIZEN. The eagle mark symbolizes the twin ideals of The CITIZEN - foresight and dedication to the pursuit of ideals as well as the enduring connection between watch and wearer.

The Caliber 0200 movement combines both aesthetic appeal and average daily accuracy of -3 to +5 seconds, exceeding the chronometer standard for accuracy. In 2012, Manufacture La Joux-Perret was welcomed into the CITIZEN Group, allowing the company to further expand its development capabilities in the field of mechanical watches. The Cal. 0200 movement was made possible through technical exchange between companies within the CITIZEN Group, and it is a mechanical movement with roots in both Japanese and Swiss watchmaking traditions.

The Eco-Drive model is equipped with a light-powered Eco-Drive movement with high annual accuracy of ± 5 seconds, eliminating the need for regular battery changes. All The CITIZEN models with high annual accuracy also feature a perpetual calendar that automatically adjusts the end of each month, including in leap years, until February 28, 2100. These models are also equipped with CITIZEN’s proprietary impact detection and lock function to protect the watch mechanism, an automatic hand correction function in the event that the hands deviate from the correct time, as well as a calendar that changes instantly at the stroke of midnight.

Platinum is a soft precious metal with Vickers hardness of 50-100 HV. CITIZEN’s proprietary surface hardening technology boosts this figure to 1,000-1,200 Hv. This treatment provides superior hardness as well as a bright, almost transparent, silver sheen to produce remarkably beautiful timepieces. (Vickers hardness of stainless steel is approx. 200 Hv).
